Since then, the focus on the business has shiften from the digital format (web & graphics design) to the more tangiable products. First, the KStar Store was created and hand-stamped cards were added as the first items for sale. The creation of Baby Birth Plaques were next. Her love of texture and fibers (and all things crafty and whimsical) led to the invention of "Fluff-A-Fly" butterflies, a project she and her son (6 years old at the time), worked on the naming of together. Then, as Kris learned to knit, she added her knitted items to their own section of the store, called KStar Stitches. Starting with darling little baby booties for tiny toes, it grew to include newborn caps, and a very unique item called a "Stork Sac" or "Cuddle Bag".

Although the sales from the store are tiny, Kris keeps on knitting and creating. It is a very therapeutic process to be immersed in a project that removes the mind from 24/7 pain and headaches, and knowing that perhaps your work might be appreciated by others is an added bonus! In the past 15 years or so of working on websites and of creating freebie graphics (blinkies, medals, etc.), one of the best feelings is seeing someone somewhere using and loving your own work. :)
