KStar Store ~ Knitted Beaded Stork Sac / Cuddle Bag

This beaded stork sac was very interesting to create! It would make a beautiful photography prop for a professional working with newborns and young infants or would serve as a cozy but breathable (and safe!) covering for a little baby to have all to herself or himself!

The beads are knitted to lay on the outside of the pod so that they are unlikely to cause the infant any discomfort. They are woven right into the pattern so that they are not likely to come loose (but always supervise your baby!). They can be scattered randomly throughout the top part of the pouch (as shown), throughout the whole pouch, or added every certain number of stitches in a set sequence. If you prefer a more subtle look, a few beads can be added here and there for just a touch of colour.

  • One size fits newborns and infants up to ~3 months.
  • Please request a larger size if desired.

How to Order:

Step 1: E-mail your order Click here to send me your choices. I'll respond as soon as possible to confirm. If your item is not an in-stock item, the knitting will begin (or it will be placed in queue behind any existing orders already being worked on, if applicable).

Step 2: Receive & pay invoice: An invoice will be sent and can be paid with a cheque, money order, or PayPal.

Step 3: Receive your item & enjoy! Once the item has been knitted and the invoice has been paid, the item will be shipped. Please allow time for both steps of this process (knitting plus delivery), especially for custom creations!

Bead Options & Other Extras:


The beads used for the Cuddle Sacs are different than those used for the Newborn Caps & Baby Booties. If you would like to try a Stork Sac with the smaller beads, we would need to create it with a thinier yarn or wool. The Cuddle Sac wool used is very thick and fluffly, so the beads need to be larger... you are able to choose beads from the Blue set (blues, greens, teals), the Pink set (pinks, greens), Natural (wood), or custom order a new set of beads in any colour you choose (purple, white, clear, etc.).
